Mis-aimed shot -- happily, they get better
Rogue points out something
Rogue and Rachel (well, two Rachels)
Rachel, Rachel, and Headless Rogue
Rogue's mixing with the audience again (top-left-center)
Rogue
I've noticed that Rogue uses this two-fingered pointing gesture a lot
Rachel (kicking) and Rachel
The next three shots were all taken while Rogue was standing on a
chair in the middle of the floor at the Masquerade....
Rogue seemingly looking at a guy's follicly-challenged head
The tangential aspects of this shot are pretty weird
Rogue "surfing" on top of the chair
Back up on stage again; here's Rogue holding two LED flashlights, Darth Maul-style (you can't see the dual "lightsabre" effect since the flash was triggered)
Rogue
Rogue again
He's back on that chair again!
..and again, here. Nice emotional shot
..another one....
Meanwhile, Rachel's wailing away on violin
Well, I -tried- to get an over-the-heads pic of Jessica lying prostrate while dancing....
I'm not sure -what- Rogue is standing on, here
"Live Long and Prosper" -- the two-fingered edition
"Hmm, if I twiddle THIS dial and THIS knob..."
Rachel, Rogue and a side of Stacey
Neet Rogue shot
I think Rogue is standing with one foot on the barricade in this shot
Another neet Rogue shot
Rachel, Rogue and, I think, Rachel (playing keys)
Finally, a decent pic of Jessica dancing
Wider shot of Rogue, a bit mis-framed
Another wide shot, better-framed
Same here....
Rachel, Stacey, Rachel, Chris and a bit of Jessica
Chris Brantley stands by
Close-up of Rogue
The next two shots were taken from on the stage, as I was one of the people
Rogue cajoled up on stage to dance during the encore. Or, in my case,
attempt to look like I was dancing :)
Wide shot of the audience
Another one -- show has just ended
This shot of Chris B. doing his Michael Jackson impression while standing on top of the CXS van has definite blackmail potential
Speaking of vans, you really can't pack a van much tighter than
this!
Group pic taken after the show; I'm the ugly one on the right
Another group pic (with their "uber-fans") after the show.
And that's it. Since we were all hungry, I led the CXS van and two additional cars to the City Cafe on 10th Street, where we sat down and had something to eat (excepting Stacey, who fell asleep at her table :)). Gillian Mundt, a local goth promoter, kindly offered the band more crash-space than I could, and they drove to her house to crash. By this time, it was around 5am. A typical bedtime for me, whether during Dragon*Con or not. :)
And this was where my Dragon*Con 2002 "vacation" unofficially ended. Many thanks to the Cruxshadows for their kindness, and two great performances here in town!
