Hi there, and thanks for expressing an interest in my shows on Ytseradio. My show is currently in hiatus, or something.

In both places, my show's content is determined by a few things. I'll play requests I receive on IRC or ICQ (or in email, if before the show), within reason, if I have the CD or tape. I'll generally play whatever my favorite "songs of the moment" are, and I'll toss in a few older gems that I've always liked and always will. Here's a list of all the CDs I own, updated roughly weekly.

For the technically curious, I use two external sources for recorded audio: my old Sony 100-disk carousel changer (they haven't cost $550 for quite a while, which tells you how old it is), and my newer Sharp boombox, both wired from headphone outputs to my soundcard's audio input thru a Y-connector. (Although I could also use my CD-ROM drive in a pinch, I prefer not to, since it's just an added drain on my already overtaxed system.) I use a regular ol' cheap Labtec mike when I want to mumble a few words -- my soundcard doesn't allow the mike and the external source at the same time, so you're safe from hearing me sing along with anything. :)

The carousel always contains a wide variety of stuff I've always liked (here's the list), so a lot of my favorites are often easily at hand. I've also designated three slots on the carousel for use during broadcasts; since one slot is always facing the access door while another is playing, I can swap disks while one is playing.

The boombox has a 5-CD changer and dual cassette decks, so I use it for any cassette sources, and to mix back and forth with the carousel changer.

Here's a look at what I've played on some shows, where I was thoughtful enough to keep a playlist. All times are US Eastern Time, but we have listeners from all across the globe. I moved my first year or so of playlists here, and so we pick it back up in July of 1999:
