Welcome to my centralized photo and video index page for 70,000 Tons of Metal 2026!
This was my tenth consecutive year attending the "world's largest heavy metal cruise." The weather was unusually cold for S. Florida and Nassau, and got colder as the cruise progressed.
Despite the customary and unexplainable pre-cruise delays from "Andy," the Skipper (the guy who apparently plans the festival), the onboard part took place relatively problem-free, although the entire schedule had to be re-done at the last minute due to an itinerary change. Thanks to the winter storm that snowed at my house in Atlanta (!), our visit to Nassau had to be changed from Saturday 1/31 to Friday 1/30, the day after departure.
